19-year-old hurt in Saturday car accident

A single vehicle accident on Saturday resulted in the injury of a 19-year-old Kansas City, Kan., resident.

The accident occurred at the 0.6 mile marker on Interstate 670 Eastbound, located within the Wyandotte County barrier. The time of the accident was just after 10 p.m. Saturday night.

Kiesha Jefferson lost control of her vehicle and crossed into the third lane, striking the concrete barrier wall.

She was transported to the University of Kansas Hospital.
