• Piper 64, Bonner Springs 50
The hosting Piper Pirates defeated the Bonner Springs Braves Tuesday night.
Russell Loomis' 14 points were a team high for the Pirates. Jaron Guess added 13 for the Pirates, while Dominic Davie contributed 11.
The Pirates jumped out to a 33-22 advantage at the half.
However, behind Austin Laing's 17 points and three three-pointers, the Braves narrowed Piper's advantage to three points.
But Piper busted the game wide open with a 17-6 advantage in the fourth quarter.
Piper improves to 4-1 on the season. Bonner remains winless.
• Lansing 48, Turner 43
The Turner Golden Bears lost a squeaker on the road against Lansing Tuesday.
The Golden Bears were led by Chuck O'Neal's 13 points.
The Bears led at halftime 24-20 and claimed a 36-33 lead after the third quarter. However, Lansing came out with a nice run to start the quarter, outscoring Turner by eight to earn the victory.
Turner drops to 2-3 on the season.
