Businesses tagged with graffiti near Park Drive, 18th Street
Posted by Nick Sloan on October 16, 2009 - 9:44am
In recent days graffiti incidents have certainly picked up.
Most notably Wyandotte High School was hit with about $1,000 in damage, while a few other businesses around the area were hit. Also, police reports detailing graffiti incidents have picked up as well.
Now, today comes word of another "graffiti attack" of sorts.
I received a tip this morning that "several" businesses on Park Drive were hit in related graffiti incidents. Listening to the police scanner, an officer reporting near the area said businesses were hit on 18th Street.
No word yet on which businesses were targeted, but the activity is suspected to be gang-related early on.

The best way to fight the graffiti problem is to remove it once it appears, and for the citizens to be more alert. It is hard for police to catch gang bangers or want-a-be gang bangers tagging a building. The police need our help and support at all times.
