Who's new
Early afternoon weather report: KCK likely spared of larger storm

Not much has changed in the newest forecas from the National Weather Service.
The amount of snow predicted remains the same. Meanwhile, it is starting to sleet around my location.
For the most part today, the streets have been very quiet. Just a few vehicle incidents have been reported over the police scanner. With snow and ice coming in later tonight, that'll probably change.
No major closings have been announced yet, either. Meanwhile, a more recent Weather Channel map above has shifted the heavier snow bands north of Wyandotte County and Kansas City.
It appears the biggest snow falls will miss Wyandotte County.....yet again.
The forecast, as of 2 p.m. today:
This Afternoon: Snow, freezing rain, and sleet. High near 33. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime ice accumulation of around a 0.1 of an inch possible. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of around an inch possible.
Tonight: Snow before midnight, then snow likely and widespread blowing snow after midnight. Low around 14. Wind chill values between -6 and 4. Blustery, with a north northwest wind 9 to 12 mph increasing to between 23 and 26 mph. Winds could gust as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Wednesday: Areas of blowing snow before noon. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 16. Wind chill values between -1 and -7. Blustery, with a west northwest wind between 16 and 24 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 4. Wind chill values between -3 and -8. West wind between 8 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
