Three Wyandotte County teams included in Hy-Vee Shootout
Three schools in Wyandotte County will compete in the 2009-2010 Hy-Vee Shootout this week.
The shootout, which begins tomorrow, pits the top teams in Missouri against those in Kansas. This year, three local boys teams will take part in the tournament.
• Sumner Academy, coming off a victorious tournament in the Blue Valley Shootout, will take on Hickman Mills Saturday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. The Sabres are making their second straight appearance in the event. Entering the game 4-0, the Sabres lost to Raytown in a down to the wire game last year.

• The 4-0 Harmon Hawks will make their first ever appearance in the event. They take on Kearney, whas runner up in last year's Missouri State Class 4 tournament. Like Sumner, Harmon wono w a tournament last week, claiming the Eudora Invitational. They play Kearney at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow.
• The Piper Pirates will make their fourth consecutive appearance in the event. The Pirates claimed third in the Eudora Invitational Tournament last week. The Pirates will take on Lee's Summit West at 5:30 p.m. Thursday night.
All games are televised on KC Metro Sports, channel 30 for those who get Time Warner.
